Skedl

Privacy Policy

Effective from July 22, 2026

skedl is an app for private tutors: schedule, students, homework, and payment tracking. This page explains what data we process and why. skedl is in beta, and this policy may be expanded over time.

Who owns the data

Student data is entered by the tutor, who owns it. skedl stores and processes that data on the tutor's behalf, solely to make the app work. By entering a student's data, the tutor confirms they have a lawful basis to do so (for example, the consent of the student or their parent).

What data we process

  • Tutor account: email, password (stored only as an irreversible hash), name, chosen currency, and — if you've connected the Telegram bot — your chat ID.
  • Students: name, subject or learning goal, contact, lesson price, time zone, and notes — whatever the tutor enters. If a student has connected the bot, we store their Telegram chat ID so we can send reminders and homework.
  • Lessons, packages, and payments: schedule, lesson statuses, package sizes and prices, and remaining lessons.
  • Homework and materials: text, deadlines, statuses, and files uploaded by you or your student.

Why

Only so the app can do its job: keep your schedule and student cards, homework, payment tracking, and reminders. We do not sell data and do not use it for advertising.

Who we share data with

  • Telegram. Communication with students goes through a Telegram bot, so those messages pass through Telegram's servers and are subject to Telegram's privacy policy.
  • Email provider. Service emails (for example, password recovery) are sent through a third-party email service.
  • Hosting. Data is stored on the server where the app is hosted.

We do not share data with anyone else, except where the law directly requires it.

Storage and security

The connection to the app is secured with HTTPS. Passwords are stored as a hash and cannot be recovered in their original form. Uploaded files are accessible only via non-public links with a one-time token. We work to protect data with reasonable technical measures, but no service can guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep data

Data is kept as long as you use skedl. You can delete individual records (students, lessons, homework) right in the app. To fully delete your account and all associated data, contact us — see "Contact".

Your rights

You can request access to your data, its correction or deletion, and you can withdraw your consent to processing. To do so, get in touch with us.
